ACP & Pfeiffer
We are the only pharmacy in Australia to have undergone a Pfeiffer audit and as such, we will be the only official producer of Pfeiffer protocol products in Australia. This has come about to ensure that patients in Australia are not disadvantaged by external influences such as world economic conditions, Australian Customs, and freight companies losing shipments from the United States. As we are sure you are aware, one example of the disadvantage of US production of your supplements is the recent huge price increase of these products due to the falling value of the Australian Dollar.
We are Australia’s largest compounding pharmacy and have pharmacists with a collective experience spanning many decades in the field of custom-made medications. This move to local production is intended to make things better for Pfeiffer’s Australian patients. The benefits of this move to local production include:
- Cheaper Medications: Local production means that these products are no longer subject to the push-and-pull effect of the world economy. You should be focussed on your health, rather than having to analyse fluctuations in world markets to determine the best time to purchase your medications. Local production also means that freight charges are dramatically reduced.
- Faster delivery times: With production now based in Sydney, in a dedicated lab facility, the centre is now much closer to you. Coupled with our overnight courier service, you can expect fewer delays, and zero dealings with Australian Customs.
- Same or similar time-zones: You will not have to spend money on expensive overseas phone-calls, or wait overnight for replies to emails. Our office hours are 8am to 6pm, Sydney-time, and customer service is always ready to accept your call.
It is part of our arrangement with Pfeiffer that we maintain the high standards established by HRI Pharmacy and Pfeiffer Treatment Centre. We have on-site testing of all incoming raw materials and a dedicated laboratory for the production of these custom-made nutritional supplements.
BP and USP
The British Pharmacopoeia and the USP are essentially books of standards. They comprise a series of monographs which list the drug substance and the standards of purity for that drug substance and the method of testing for content and impurities and related substances for that particular drug.
Thus, if a drug is labelled with a USP or BP after its name then it must comply with the stringent specifications set by either the USP or BP as regards all the tests listed in the monograph. As above, this includes assay, related substances and impurities. The BP and USP Commission are semi-government bodies setup by FDA and the MHRA (The UK equivalent) and substances included in the monographs have been extensively evaluated for purity and safety for inclusion in pharmaceutical preparations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Contact Australian Custom Pharmaceuticals on 1300 853 620 at least seven days before you run out of your medication. Alternately you can fax your prescription and/or order form to us on (02) 8536 4155. We will also request payment information with each order as we do not keep credit card details on file.
Your order will be compounded and shipped within 48 hours after the order is processed. Delivery is usually overnight for major cities Australia wide. If there is any delay in processing your prescription one of our customer service representatives will contact you.
The price of individualised compounding varies depending on the amount and type of nutrients in each prescription. Prescriptions average $75 to $125 per compound per 100 day supply, but may cost more or less. You may order any amount of your prescription up to a 200 day (6 months) supply, with 100 days typically being the most cost effective. Exact price quotes can be provided within 24 hours for your convenience.
The number of capsules required for each dose is labeled on the front of each prescription bottle. Please be aware that you may be required to take more than 1 capsule per dose. If your prescription requires more than 500 capsules, you will have more than one bottle for your prescription. Only open 1 bottle of each prescription at a time. Please review the dosage instructions when you receive each prescription.
We are able to make nutritional prescriptions into powders or capsules. The powder is accompanied with a suitable measure that has a clearly marked line indicating the dose. Many parents and patients have success by mixing the powder into a variety of foods or juices. Do not bake with nutrient powders as the high temperature can affect the potency of the nutrients.
Store your compounds in a cool dry place such as a kitchen cupboard. Do NOT store compounds in the bathroom, refrigerator, or freezer unless specifically stated on the package. Some compounds require packaging in multiple bottles. If this is the case, open only 1 bottle at a time, leaving the desiccant packs in the bottle. Desiccant packets are included to absorb any moisture that may enter the bottle and will help prevent color changes and possible loss of potency.
Many vitamins will darken in color over time. Australian Custom Pharmaceuticals’ capsules are compounded with little or no fillers, so the humidity from the air may cause the powders to darken in color. Darkness alone does not mean that your capsules are no longer good. If your capsules look wet or have a crunchy texture on the inside, you should order new nutrients. Be sure to keep the bottle tightly closed and keep the desiccant packets inside the bottle at all times.
ACP purchases each ingredient from only the most reputable suppliers, ensuring they adhere to the U.S Pharmacopeia or British Pharmacopeia – world standards for quality pharmaceutical ingredients. We continually perform in-house tests to check the purity, quality and accuracy of vitamins, minerals, and dietary supplements.
We stock a large range of other nutritional supplements. If you cannot find what you are after on our price list, please contact customer service on 1300 853 620 for availability and pricing.
